INTERNATIONALISATION

Internationalisation in higher education refers to the process of integrating global perspectives into educational policies, curricula, research, and student experiences. It involves enhancing academic collaborations, promoting cross-cultural understanding, and offering students opportunities to engage in international learning. Malaysia’s higher education system actively embraces internationalisation by fostering partnerships with global institutions, encouraging student and faculty exchanges, and promoting Malaysian universities as global education hubs. Education Malaysia London plays a pivotal role in this process by supporting Malaysian students in the UK and creating opportunities for networking, cultural exchange, and academic collaboration between Malaysia and international institutions.

In conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, the Education Malaysia London, in collaboration with Coventry University, successfully co-hosted a policy forum titled “Co-creating Equitability and Sustainability: UK-ASEAN Knowledge Partnerships”.

Held at the High Commission of Malaysia, the forum brought together over 45 participants, including ambassadors, academics, representatives from UK government agencies, NGOs, and ASEAN member states. The event served as a platform to explore inclusive, equitable, and sustainable approaches to education and research collaboration between the UK and ASEAN.
