BRIEF HISTORY


In 2003, the Government of Malaysia purchased 4 units of 30-34 Queensborough Terrace situated in W2 area and was officially launch by the fifth Malaysia Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badawi on 24th July 2004. This building housed 3 important agencies that serve the Education Sector in Malaysia High Commission, Education Malaysia London, Public Service Department and MARA. These 3 agencies serve an important hub representing the government of Malaysia as they not only serve as sponsors but also initiating bilateral and multilateral collaborations in education. EML also has a branch office in Belfast and Dublin to cater Malaysian students who are in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

Education Malaysia London also responsible promoting Malaysian Higher Education overseas as well as to seek international recognition and collaboration for Malaysian Higher Education programs. In short, Education Malaysia London serves as a strategic organisation and act as being one-stop centre for all aspects of higher education to all interested groups abroad, including Malaysian students, International students, institutions of higher education either at home and abroad. Education Malaysia London under the purview of High Commission of Malaysia London, is active in promoting and initiating education collaboration and investments between Malaysia and United Kingdom which resulted in the establishment of UK universities in Malaysia.
